If you are in any way connected with playing football, you should know about GridIronSource.com and get to know Aaron Kyle, the football yoda turned software developer that knows pretty much everything about the game. He's been a player, a coach and knows plenty about multi-media/Web 2.0 presentations.
Aaron, a Detroit native, played defensive back for Wyoming who was later snapped up by the Cowboys in the first round of the NFL draft. That year the Cowboys lost to the Steelers 21-17, but no big deal... he went on to get another Ring, this time against the Denver Broncos, where Aaron went after his time with Dallas.
GridIronSource.com grew from his first product called PlayBook, a PC-based coaching tool that helped coaches and players better visualize formations. It took the old school Xs and Os from the blackboard and put it into a modern format, something that could be shared and displayed with all the benefits of digital technology.
Sure, GridIronSource is targeted at coaches, but young players can learn plenty as well, not only about how to improve their 40 speed, but how to "conduct business" when looking to make a move into the business of football.
One of Aaron's current products is called Ultimate Football University. It's 4 GIGs of high quality video on a USB drive. From the website:
A COLLECTION OF ARTICLES, CLINICS, DRILLS, PLAYBOOKS, PRACTICE FILMS AND GAME VIDEOS FOR COACHES, PLAYERS, AND FANS. EARN A MASTERS DEGREE ON ALL FACETS OF THIS GREAT GAME.
Don't take our word for it. If you care about winning, as a player or a coach, you are running at a disadvantage if you're not part of the the GridIronSource network.
